156 Gardiner Road (Rte. 27), Wiscasset  ~  ~  207-882-4080 Morris Faris both a working farm and an edu-cational resource for the communities of midcoast Maine. As a non-profit, educational, membership organization, the Morris Farm Trust promotes the values of sustainable agriculture and stewardship 
of the earth through education, demonstration and community involvement, while enhancing food security in the greater midcoast area by providing:
  • A demonstration farm, open to the public
  • Responsible farming and preservation of farmland
  • Demonstrations of sustainable energy technology: an inde-pendent solar farm and our own solar panels on the barn
  • Education for people of all ages focused on sustainable agriculture, food and nutrition, and the environment
  • Education programs in local schools
  • Vacation and Summer Farm Camps
  • A farm store that sells food and other products supplied by local farmers, food processors, and crafters 
  • Support for community efforts to address food security, including an annual forum on food security
  • Farm Fresh rewards subsidies for SNAP beneficiaries
  • Donated produce for food pantries through our UMaine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener program
  • Gardening and recreational opportunities available to the  public in our community garden and our trails
  • Lots of fun community events

Events, Classes 
Board Meetings are held at 6:15pm the 3rd Monday of each month in the Learning Center. The public is welcome to attend. 
  • Seaver Leslie Unveils to benefit Morris Farm- August 16, 2019 Artist and Morris Farm Charter Member, Seaver Leslie, will be unveiling his latest piece, Colonna milare d'oro: Petrarch's Secret, on August 16th at an event to benefit The Morris Farm Trust.   • Tour de Farms on September 14, 2019 Sign up for Tour de Farms here or the title link, above. Join us for the 20th annual Tour de Farms bike ride! Pedal through beautiful farmlands along the Midcoast Maine, stopping to visit local farms. Purchase local produce and your goods will be couriered back to the Morris Farm for you. Ride solo or with friends and family. Conclude your route with a farm BBQ feast - featuring scrumptious fare from local farms with vegetarian and Gluten free options - back at The Morris Farm.

  • "1st Mondays" Adult Class Series The first Monday of each month, at 5:30pm in the Learning Center we will be hosting classes for adults and the whole family. Next class is August 5th: "Much Ado about Butter", butter churning at home- with Madelyn Hennessey PLEASE PRE-REGISTER here or the title link, above.Butter is so easy to make you’ll wonder why you’ve never done it before!  The first 6 people to sign up for this class will be supplied with a pint of fresh, unpasteurized heavy cream which will make about a cup of beautiful butter.   • Dam Jam Fiddlers on Wednesday evenings! Join the Dam Jam Fiddlers practice from 7-9 PM each Wednesdays.
