About the Event

Interior storms reduce the heat loss through your windows, cut down on drafts and even deaden noise a bit, saving you money and making your home more comfortable.  You can learn how to build them at The Morris Farm's - First Monday Lecture for October.  Topher Belknap, known locally for his work with green energy systems, energy conserving construction, and permaculture design, will show you how you can build your own interior windows and/or doors for just a few dollars. At the October 7th class, we will show you the tools and materials you need to measure an existing window, construct the frame, line it with heat shrink plastic and weatherstrip to fit.

While there isn't enough time in an hour class to allow everyone to build their own, Topher will walk you through the steps of making them yourself, as he demonstrates his process, allowing the class to interact with the actual construction process of a storm window.

We request a $5 donation to cover demonstration materials, for attendees. Please RSVP to this class so that we may plan ahead for these materials.
