About the Event

Butter is so easy to make you’ll wonder why you’ve never done it before! The first 6 people to sign up for this class will be supplied with a pint of fresh, unpasteurized heavy cream which will make about a cup of beautiful butter. If you are not among the first 6, please bring a pint of heavy cream that is room temperature.

In this class, you will produce the best butter you have ever tasted, and see what a difference home made butter will make for the simplest of foods. We’re not claiming you will never use store bought again, but you will undoubtedly want to make your own butter for any special meals you serve to family and friends.

Participants should bring an electric mixer or an egg beater, a spatula, and a bowl with a wide bottom.

Madelyn Hennessey is the daughter of a dairy farmer. One of her earliest memories is of her mother standing at the kitchen counter making butter with an old fashioned egg beater.
