Morris Farm Barn
On October 4, 1994 The Morris Farm Trust was incorporated to promote the education of farmers and the community in the areas of land use and sustainable agriculture and to preserve the land of the Morris Farm for agricultural and recreational use for the benefit of the public. On June 27, 1995, that plan became reality with the purchase of the Morris Farm. Twenty-five years later, we continue the mission set forth by the hundreds of charter members who shared this vision and made the Morris Farm Trust possible.
Before the concert, as part of our festivities, please join us for a celebration supper. If you like, bring something to share, or just join us for the fellowship.
Gordon Bok, is a native of Camden, Maine native and an internationally known folksinger.
If you already know Gordon’s full body of work, you know that he has worked to preserve traditional songs of the Maine coast, and the music from many international cultures. If you already know his music, you already have favorites that come to mind as the occasion suggests. If you don’t already know his music, you should treat yourself by coming to the Morris Farm on July 11th. Our barn seats up to only 135 people, providing a truly intimate setting in which to enjoy his show and share an evening of celebration for 25th Anniversary as a nonprofit education center, incubator for new farmers, and for the 200th year of Maine Statehood.
An old barn, filled with music by a well-loved Maine singer: finest kind.
